GITPA Executive Committee 2025/26
Dear Fellow Members and Colleagues,
We are delighted to announce that the GITPA Executive Committee (ExCo) for 2025/26 (composition listed below) has been duly elected at the Annual General Meeting held on 29 May 2025. As of 28 May 2025, GITPA has 935 members, making up over 63% of the AP Grade. We sincerely thank all colleagues for your support and active participation.
Member participation continues to grow, demonstrating growing engagement and reinforcing confidence in our direction. Based on last year’s work and members’ support and feedback, we will continue to focus on the following key areas in the coming year:
1. Representing Member Interests & Engaging with Management
- Gather insights from members via diverse channels to drive meaningful action;
- Interact and liaise with management on matters such as recruitment, new AP Grade posts in B/Ds, promotions, staff activities, communication, mentorship programme, and posting guideline; and
- Thrive through sustainable career development for the AP Grade.
2. Supporting Work-Life Balance & Member Benefits
- Promote team spirit and a healthy work-life balance by organising engaging activities and events that strengthen connections among members; and
- Arrange member offers and explore a diverse range of special benefits for members’ well-being.
Facing Challenges & Embracing New Opportunities
The AP Grade is embarking on a new journey following the establishment of the Digital Policy Office. AP Grade members in different posts are engaged in different roles but all belong to the same information technology profession. We should embrace the opportunities to uphold a commitment to Hong Kong and our country, a passion for our work and a spirit of serving the public with pride, spearheading meaningful changes in digital policies to bring greater convenience to the public and businesses while meeting evolving needs and public expectations in the digital era.
Together, we strengthen our profession, uphold the integrity of our work, and shape a thriving future of growth and excellence. The GITPA ExCo is committed to serving you better and continuously strengthening our support to truly meet your needs. We encourage you to share your thoughts and feedback on various matters. Please feel free to reach out to us (gitpa@gitpa.org.hk). We look forward to seeing you in our upcoming activities and events. Thank you.
Regards,
Elke MAKChairperson, GITPA ExCo 2025/26
