Dear Members,
GITPA 3 x 3 Basketball Competition was held on 21 July 2024 at Disciplined Services Sports and Recreation Club. We were privileged to have the support of Ir Tony Wong, JP and Kingsley Wong, BBS for the athletic initiatives.
Coming to an exhilarating month for sports events, our members have once again demonstrated their passions for sports by vigorously participating in sport competitions, setting a shining example of the work-life balance and a healthy lifestyle.
The 3 x 3 basketball competition was conducted on a half-court with three players per team. The reduced playing area encourages a more dynamic and accelerated style of gameplay, resulting in increased scoring opportunities. This format promotes a fluid and rapid style of play, characterized by fewer players on the court and an emphasis on swift transitions, precise shooting, and individual skills. Players are able to enjoy greater chances to demonstrate their one-on-one abilities and create scoring opportunities within this more intimate team structure.
If you are craving more highlights from the GITPA 3 x 3 Basketball Competition, please explore the post-match news distributed via email.
Best regards,
GITPA ExCo
