GITPA – 陶藝創作工作坊

The pottery (clay modeling) workshop 「GITPA – 陶藝創作工作坊」 was successfully held on 24 March 2019 (Sunday), which was our last workshop organized by 2018-19 GITPA. A total of 20 colleagues, their family members and friends joined this activity.

Pottery is a creative process to make a vessel or any objects with clay. In the 3-hour workshop, the professional instructors first explained and demonstrate the basic but essential skills, for example, like how to make the clay into the desired shape using the instrument, to our participants. Afterward, it was the time for them to give full scope to creativity and imagination.

The instructors suggested the most useful products were cups or plates. The gist of making beautiful products was the fresh plants and flowers prepared by the workshop. The plants were put onto the surface of the semi-product as a decoration. Of course, the final products were needed to be heated and firing. We will see the masterpieces one week later and remember to check it out in our next issue!

COMING ACTIVITY

GITPA Annual General Meeting cum Dinner 2019 will be scheduled at 14 May 2019 (Tuesday). During the meeting, the next Ex-Co will be elected. Before that, if you are interested to become our next Ex-Co, please do not hesitate to contact us through email or any other possible means!
